There are currently at least 11 (eleven) bands with this name: a rock band from the UK, a German thrash metal band, a Polish alternative rock band, a Eurodance group,a one-man black metal band from the UK, a Czech thrash metal band, two (2) Italian Black/Thrash bands and three (3) death metal bands, from Poland, Mexico and Chile, respectively.. The Darkness were an english hard rock band. They were widely regarded as a glam rock band, but the members disputed this and saw themselves as a classic hard-rock band.
