The Ventures are a rock instrumental band formed in 1958, by Don Wilson and Bob Bogle, two Seattle masonry workers. They are famous for their surf-flavor hits such as "Walk, Don't Run" and "Hawaii Five-O". They released a series of successful albums featuring their takes on famous songs like "Pipeline" (The Chantays), "Wipeout" (The Surfaris), "Telstar" (The Tornados) and other instrumental hits. The band has survived to the present day playing their classics and interpretations of newer songs, including forays into funk and disco in the 70s.
