Shawty Lo is a southern rapper and the founder of hip-hop music group D4L, the self-proclaimed pioneers of snap music. About him being in D4L. They were a group, LO went to jail. The remaining members make the extremely garbage "Laffy Taffy". LO comes out of jail like what the fuck. He murks the streets with gun anthems like "Foolish" "Dunn, Dunn" and "Dey Know". BANKHEAD! Shawty Lo released his debut album "Units in the City", on February 5th, 2008. The first single is "Dey Know", which premiered its video on the BET program Rap City. The album features guest appearances by Gucci Mane, D.G. Yola, the rest of the D4L crew, and music production by Born Immaculate, DJ Pooh, DJ Montay and Balis Beats. With the exception of Fabo, Shawty Lo is the only other D4L member with a solo album currently in the works. He stated in an interview with DJBooth.net that despite his solo album "Units In Da City", dropping early 2008, he would not be leaving the group.
