MC Breed (Born Eric Breed) (June 12, 1971 - November 22, 2008) was a rapper from Flint, Michigan, USA. After his early success with the 1991 gold-selling single "Ain't No Future In Yo' Frontin'", featuring a sample from "Funky Worm" by the Ohio Players, he connected with rappers from both the south and the west coast. He finally joined fellow rapper Too Short in Atlanta, Georgia; with his G-funk-oriented sound giving way to more dirty south influences. Breed was one of the first rappers from the mid-west to break into national and international markets. He worked together with rappers such as 2Pac, Too Short, The D.O.C., Tito 6 and with producers such as Jazze Pha, Warren G, The Hurra, Colin Wolfe, Erotic D Ant Banks and Proof of rap group D12. His most popular album "Funkafied" features George Clinton on two tracks. Died: 22 November 2008 Cause Of Death: Passed away in his sleep as a result of kidney failure. Breed was already on the waiting list for an organ donor after having succumbed to kidney failure earlier this year while playing a game of basketball. \\\Discography/// 1991 MC Breed and DFC (SDEG/Ichiban) 1992 20 Below (Wrap/SDEG/Power Artists/Ichiban) 1993 The New Breed (Wrap/SDEG/Power Artists/Ichiban) 1994 Funkafied (Wrap/Ichiban) 1995 Big Baller (Wrap/Ichiban) 1995 The Best Of MC Breed (Wrap/SDEG/Power Artists/Ichiban) 1996 Da Hood Tapes (Ichiban) 1996 To Da Beat Ch'all (Wrap/Ichiban) 1997 Saucy (One Puff Music/Wrap/Ichiban) 1997 Flatline (Wrap/Ichiban) 1999 It's All Good (Power/Roadrunner) 1999 2 for the Show (Roadrunner) 2000 Rare Breed (Albatross/One Puff Music/RND) 2001 The Fharmacist (Fharmacy) 2004 The New Prescription (Psychopathic/RED)
