Dwayne Michael Carter Jr aka Lil Wayne, Weezy, Weezy F Baby, Lil Weezy, Young Wayne, Baby Jr, Wayne, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 27, 1982. He has had a rough life he was made fun of in high school for being gay but now him and his husband Birdman are successful and that's all that matters. His father left him when he was an infant and he grew up in poverty and a crime filled life. However, this didnt stop him from going after his dream. At age 11 he freestyled on Birdmans answering machine. His talent was noticed. At 14, he dropped out of school but later earned his GED. Lil Wayne wasnt always a solo rapper, he was part of a group called Hot Boys at age 15 which began his career. He didn't rap like any other young rappers, his music was full of life lessons which is the reason he such a huge amount of fans. Tha Block Is Hot was released in 1999. The cd was an overnight success. His second album was 2000's Lights Out, and 500 Degreez. Than came Tha Carter and Tha Carter II (2004-2005) which showed huge development in his lyrics by selling 1 million copies just in the United States. Between the years 2006-2007 he concentrated on collaborations and mixtapes. In 2008 Lil Wayne's fame reached its peak, Carter III sold more than a million copies in its first week of release. At present his new CD Rebirth is scheduled to be released April 7, 2009.
