Lee Dorsey (born Irving Lee Dorsey on 24 December 1924 in new orleans, Louisiana) was an African-American pop/R&B singer during the 1960s. He died on 1 December 1986 in New Orleans. Much of his best work was produced by Allen Toussaint with instrumental backing provided by The Meters.
