Biografía

Doris Troy, born Doris Higginson, is best known for her hit 'Just One Look' released in 1963. Aside from her solo work she penned hits and sang backing vocals for many other artists. Her style neatly summarized: "Her Atlantic sides blend elements of gospel, girl group, blues, and pop into a rich New York soul sound" (Richie Unterberger, All Music Guide) Doris died in 2004.
