Ashley Michelle Tisdale (born July 2, 1985 in New Jersey, United States) is an American actress and singer since 2006.. After appearing in several television roles during the late 1990s and early 2000s, she became known to young audiences for playing Maddie Fitzpatrick on the Disney Channel Original Series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Sharpay Evans in the Disney Channel Original Movie High School Musical. She also participated in High School Musical: The Concert and reprised her role as Sharpay Evans in High School Musical 2 and High School Musical 3. She will also reprise her role as Sharpay in the sequel High School Musical 3: Senior Year and she will also be in the upcoming movies Picture This and They Came From Upstairs. Tisdale is currently voicing Candace in the Disney Channel original series Phineas and Ferb. Tisdale has also pursued a solo music career and released her debut album Headstrong on February 6, 2007. Tisdale will release her first EP Degree Girl: OMG! Jams in June 2008 to promote Degree Girl. Early life Tisdale was born in Monmouth County, New Jersey on July 2, 1985, to Lisa (n??e Morris) and Mike Tisdale. She grew up there in Ocean Township. Her elder sister Jennifer Tisdale is also an actress, most notably starring in Bring It On: In It to Win It.
