In a career spanning over ten years and encompassing five albums and many more singles,Stuart 'Pilote' Cullen has seen his records put in just about every leftfield pigeonhole going. Electronica, breakbeat, post-rock, downtempo, chillout ID(spit)M, drum and bass, folktronica (whatever that is....). Much simpler just to listen and decide whether or not it's 'Good' or 'Bad', surely? New album 'Pop Will Make Us Free' is most certainly the most accessible to date, combining pop hooks, funky basslines, banjo riffs and saloon piano with trademark off kilter beats and irreverent, irrelevant vocal samples.
