Ashlee Nicole Simpson-Wentz (born October 3, 1984 in Waco, Texas) is an American pop singer and occasional actress. She is the younger sister of pop singer Jessica Simpson and Pete Wentz's (Fall Out Boy's bassist) wife. Simpson rose to fame in mid-2004 through the success of her #1 debut album Autobiography and the accompanying reality series The Ashlee Simpson Show, and guest starring on 7th Heaven. Life: Initially, much of the media attention surrounding her focused on her famous boyfriends. At the launch of her career, she was dating equally accredited singer/guitarist, Ryan Cabrera. After the split, Ashlee moved on to date Lindsay Lohan's previous boyfriend, Wilmer Valderamma, which caused a feud between the two singers. This probably spawned the hit single, "Boyfriend". Since 2006, Ashlee has been dating Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz. In March 2008 she announced her engagement to Pete and thanked fans for their support.
