Biografía

Nazareth started out as The Shadettes in the late 60s, but later changed their name to Nazareth. The band struggled a bit to get recognition with the first two albums. But producer (and bass guitar player of Deep Purple) Roger Glover was called in to produce the bands third album Razamanaz in 1973. The success was a fact. Nazareth then went on to release a row of now classic Nazareth albums. The most known probably is Hair of the Dog. The US version contained the major hit single Love Hurts, originally written by Boudleaux Bryant and recorded by The Everly Brothers among many. The Greatest Hits album which was released in 1975 contained a row of hits including This Flight Tonight, Broken Down Angel, Hair of the Dog, Razamanaz and Love Hurts. Nazareth remained active in the 80s releasing albums that had a slightly more radio friendly approach. The 80s also saw the band release their first official live album Snaz. Nazareth are still active today, touring all corners of the World and playing their rock 'n' roll to all fan's joy. Nazareth celebrates 40 years as a band in 2008. The band will head out on an extencive World tour with guest apearences and also to promote their brand new album called The Newz.
