There are multiple artists with this name: 1) Deep Forest is a musical group comprised of two French musicians, Eric Mouquet and Michel Sanchez. They compose world music, mixing ethnic with electronic sounds. They were nominated for a Grammy Award in 1993 for best world album, and in 1996 they won the award for the album Boheme. Some of the proceeds from their album sales have been donated to charity. Their song "Sweet Lullaby" gained some added popularity when it was played in Matt Harding's viral web video. 2) Deep Forest is an Italian heavy metal 'shred' guitarists Gianni Rojatti and Marco Cardona recorded as Deep Forest on a self-titled album in 2004. Drum duties were handled by Gregg Bissonette. Bass duties were handled by Bobo Comand.
