There are two artists using this name: 1) Amber (real name Aija V??toli??a) is an latvian singer. At first she was singing as Jay Stever (J??nis St??belis) background vocalist. Amber was taking the part in "Cabaret" musical performances and in competition called "Five Stars"(Piecas zvaigznes). Her first ballad "Calling You" (SaucuTevi) is written by componist K??rlis L??cis. 2) (Amber is also the name of of danish band with two albums released - for more info on them, see their homepage.) Born in the Netherlands, partially raised in Germany by a mother who is a songwriter and piano teacher and by a father who is an opera singer, music was a naturally given gift, genetically passed on, a way to communicate your mood and your feelings. As far as she can remember- the teachers always gave her the first voice for every recital. "I just did it as it came natural to me, not realizing at that point that it really would be a profession that I would end up with" she laughs. "I remember standing in front of the mirror with a brush, singing along with my Mom's old vinyl singles that I found in the attic."
